We give our love to a person, but we also want to receive love from them. When the other person fails to sufficiently satisfy our demands, which will happen a lot, we feel let down, angry, insecure, and in fear that the other person doesn’t really love us. We often resort to some kind of emotional manipulation and get them to fulfill our demands.
